OPCO Funding
Biodiversity Partner training

Biodiversity Partner training courses are delivered by Qualitel Formation, a Qualiopi-certified organisation. They are eligible for coverage by skills operators (OPCO). This page explains the mechanism, the relevant OPCOs and the steps to obtain funding.

Why OPCO funding?

OPCOs (skills operators) are state-approved bodies that fund all or part of professional training for employees. Each company contributes to an OPCO based on its industry sector.

For training to be eligible for OPCO funding, it must be delivered by a Qualiopi-certified training organisation. This is the case for Biodiversity Partner training: it is delivered by Qualitel Formation, a Qualiopi-certified organisation for training actions.

In summary

1 IRICE designs the standards and educational content for Biodiversity Partner training.
2 Qualitel Formation delivers the training and issues certificates. It is the training provider in the regulatory sense.
3 As Qualitel Formation is Qualiopi-certified, the training courses are eligible for OPCO funding.

Which OPCOs can fund this training?

Any OPCO can fund Qualiopi-certified training. The OPCOs most frequently relevant to the construction, real estate and environmental sectors are:

Constructys

Construction, building and civil engineering. The leading OPCO for the construction sector.

OPCO EP

Local businesses. Covers real estate, liberal professions and consulting firms among others.

AKTO

Labour-intensive services. Includes certain consulting and engineering professions.

Atlas

Financial services and consulting. Covers engineering firms, consultancies and design offices.

OPCO 2i

Industry. Covers industrial companies engaged in the environmental transition.

OPCO Mobilités

Transport and logistics. Relevant for infrastructure and development operators.

Not sure which OPCO you belong to? Your employer or HR department can tell you which OPCO your company contributes to. You can also check the French Ministry of Labour website or contact Qualitel Formation, who will guide you.

Eligible training pathways

Biodiversity Partner training courses are organised into two independent pathways, starting from a common foundation. All are eligible for OPCO funding.

Common foundation — mandatory

BP-N1

Biodiversity and real estate awareness

Entry into the Biodiversity Partner network. Regulatory framework, ESG, IRICE methodology. Prerequisites: none.

Effinature Pathway

Accredited biodiversity certification

N2

NCO / EVO

New construction + renovation

N3

HOR

Development (mixed-use zones, subdivisions, public spaces)

N4

HVE

High Ecological Value — long-term monitoring

BPS Pathway

Biodiversity Performance Score

BP-BPS

Biodiversity diagnostic

Qualification to carry out BPS assessments (baseline, design, or both)

Prerequisite: BP-N1 completed. The BPS pathway is independent of the Effinature pathway — levels N2, N3, N4 are not required.

A professional can pursue both pathways. Both are independently eligible for OPCO funding.

How to obtain OPCO funding?

1

Pre-registration

Complete the pre-registration form on the IRICE website, indicating the desired level and OPCO funding method.

2

Prerequisite verification

IRICE verifies your eligibility (qualifications, experience, previously validated levels) then forwards your application to Qualitel Formation.

3

OPCO application

Your employer (or yourself if self-employed) submits a funding application to your OPCO, along with the quotation and programme provided by Qualitel Formation.

4

Training and invoicing

Qualitel Formation delivers the training, issues the invoice and the certificate of attendance. The OPCO pays Qualitel Formation directly, based on the approved funding level.

Remaining costs

The level of coverage depends on your OPCO, the size of your company and your industry sector. Some OPCOs fund 100% of training costs; others apply an hourly cap. Check with your OPCO to find out the exact amount of coverage before registering.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the training provider?
Qualitel Formation, a Qualiopi-certified training organisation. IRICE designs the content and verifies prerequisites, but it is Qualitel Formation that delivers the training, issues certificates of attendance and handles invoicing.
Can I get funding if I am self-employed?
Yes. Self-employed workers contribute to a training fund (FAF) or an OPCO depending on their status. Contact your FAF or OPCO to find out your entitlements. You may also be able to use your CPF (personal training account) if the training is registered there.
Do I need to complete all levels?
The BP-N1 foundation is mandatory for all pathways. After that, you choose the Effinature pathway (N2, N3, N4) or the BPS pathway (BP-BPS), or both. Each level can be the subject of a separate OPCO application.
How long between the OPCO application and the training?
Allow approximately 4 to 6 weeks between submitting the OPCO application and the start of the session. This timeframe depends on your OPCO and the session calendar. Submit your application early to secure your place.
