Works include the removal of existing gravel, preparation of organic fertile soil and planting of the listed species. The Effinature EVO standard requires a minimum of 85% indigenous species (of which 40% native to the biogeographical region), a ban on invasive exotic species, and the presence of at least three vegetation layers (trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants).
Car park redevelopment
The EVO standard sets requirements for existing and new parking areas. On at least 50% of existing parking areas, the project must either replace the surface with a permeable material or install planted pergolas (climbing plants). New parking areas must feature a permeable surface, with or without planting.
Certification process in progress
Effinature certification follows a four-stage process: registration, initial assessment (based on consultation documents), final assessment (based on contract documents), and on-site compliance inspection. The process requires the involvement of a qualified IRICE Biodiversity Partner and a local ecologist for the initial ecological assessment.
